photography by m photography on the southland christian church website! i like to claim my recognized start in photography, meaning the first time my photography was used and i was given recognition for it, was in the church. i truly truly get the greatest joy capturing images from worship services. sunday was able to spend a few hours running around barefoot on stage, crawling though cabling, set pieces and under people, even standing on the seating in order photograph rehearsal and dress for the 608 service {side note: it actually starts at 6:08pm}. so i had a great time and then yesterday i see this:

that is rewarding on so many levels, personally, professionally, and spiritually. you see when i’m running around photographing worship it’s my own form of worship. i don’t play an instrument, don’t sing well, but i sing while i’m shooting and and shut everything else out. it’s when i get to give back and be thankful for the gift given to me, both my photography gift and the gift of life.
