you may have noticed that i have a new slightly tweaked logo as of last week. it was a quite unexpected move, but one that adds much needed symmetry especially since I have been designing print materials. i love my “m” and it is really my defining trade mark, but the script just wasn’t working. i’ve also tweaked the colors a bit. instead or harsh red, black, and stark white, a more muted maroon, brown and cream have been showing up around here. its much more me, a little classier and goes much better with the recycled papers and packaging I like to use. i still have oodles of business cards and gift certificates with the older logo and colors, so don’t be alarmed if in your packet you don’t see the new logo. i’m just a firm believer in not being wasteful of what you have.
you also may have noticed the days getting longer and the weather warming up a bit. i even shot some pictures of my day lilies starting to spout! its a great time to be scheduling those sessions y0u’ve been wanting, (or to start planing out your wedding photography). looking for a little motivation or inspiration? how about some highlights from last year!

i know I posted about selling my canon rebel xt body with a camera bag, but it didn’t include the lens. i’ve since decided to part with a lens that really isn’t getting used. so i’m now selling a silver canon rebel xt, with a canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM zoom lens, and a bag to keep it all in. here is the original listing info edited to include the lens:
this is a fantastic camera for anyone getting into dslr photography, for a hobbyist, or even someone starting out on the journey of starting their photography business. i have recommended it over and over again, the quality for this little compact dslr is fantastic. however i can only use so many camera’s and this one deserves to be loved by someone. it’s available for $310 or best reasonable offer, and comes with a canon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 zoom lens, all the original paperwork (manuals, warranty cards, canon eos software), 2 canon litium ion batteries, canon battery charger, and usb cord. if your interested or know someone who is get in touch with me! pictures below is a representation of the camera and lens and is the same make and model of both. – camera is sold!

i had a recent request regarding gift certificates. currently i am working on a way for you to purchase them via the blogsite, but in the meantime the best way is to contact me. i love when photography is given as a gift!

it’s frigid outside. yeah, i know you know that, but i just thought i’d state it. the worst part about the cold for me, not being busy. i get antsy to do a shoot, even on soggy cold days, so i started a 365 project with a friend of mine. a word a week, interpreted differently each day, and we match our pictures up daily. if your interested in see the full project visit the blog and look around. and if your here wondering if i’m up for sessions out in this weather, always! icy breath clouds, frosty windows and snow…. sounds like a picture perfect situation to me. i leave you with a daily match up from day 9 of the project:
